EURORDIS is offering patient fellowships for up to 35 patients’ advocates to attend the 6th European Conference on Rare Diseases & Orphan Products taking place on 23 – 25 May 2012 in Brussels, Belgium.
These fellowships aim at empowering patients’ advocates by offering a platform for networking opportunities, access to information and sharing experiences.
The EURORDIS-ECRD 2012 Patients’ Advocates Fellowship programme is offered to enable the participation of patients’ advocates from: Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey and the Ukraine.

The total of the travel and hotel expenses reimbursed by EURORDIS cannot exceed 600 € per fellow.

Fellows will be selected based on their advocacy skills and objectives, by an ad hoc committee and notified by 20 February 2012.
Mutual Commitment: Selected patient fellows must be available to attend the Patient Groups Networking Reception taking place on Wednesday, 23 May and will be invited to send EURORDIS a short report after the Conference, to share their testimonies and analysis of their country’s situation with respect to access to rare disease information, treatment, care and services.
