The EURORDIS Membership Meeting 2012 will take place Wednesday 23 May at the Management Centre Europe (MCE) Conference Centre in Brussels, Belgium — the same venue as the European Conference on Rare Diseases and Orphan Products (ECRD).
Each year at the EURORDIS Membership Meeting, patients and patient representatives from throughout Europe come together for the Annual General Assembly of EURORDIS members, followed by workshops designed to increase patients’ knowledge and capacity to make changes to improve the lives of rare disease patients and their families.
The EURORDIS Membership Meeting 2012 will start with the General Assembly, a closed meeting for representatives of EURORDIS’ member organisations. This will be followed by forums for members and other patient representatives to meet, discuss and learn from each other. Discussions will include topics such as fundraising, advocacy and addressing challenges for rare disease patients such as the transition from childhood to adulthood care. More in-depth trainings will also be offered on access to care, as well as on actions to shape EU and National Policies. Full information on the forums and capacity-building workshops proposed can be found here:
