We are committed to protecting your privacy. The information that you give us will only be used by the Conference organiser Mundiconvenius and Eurordis, beyond that we will not share ANY of the information that you give us as an individual to any other third party without seeking your prior consent. The information we collect falls into two categories:

Individual information

The individual information we collect, such as your email address and information provided by you through online forms, enables us to:
email you with information you may find useful; and

• process your requests for information, Conference registration, publications and
• press releases.

Notice of participant lists - Waiver in writing

There will be a participants list published. All participants will be included unless a written waiver is received by the conference organisers.
You may wish to receive additional information relating to our work by email/electronic newsletter, e.g. we may inform you about other conferences and workshops in the field of rare diseases, or when a training course is going to take place. To obtain this information, please register to the mailing list.

Unsubscribing from email/mailings

If you have registered to receive our newsletter but would now prefer not to receive email or any other communications from us, please let us know by removing your address from the mailing list (the appropriate option is available in the Newsletter area).

Data Protection

If you require any of your personal information or that of your organisation to be removed from our systems or website please contact us by email remembering to give your full name and address.

Statistical information

We also collect statistical information such as the number of visitors to our site, the number of times a page is viewed and the number and type of files that are downloaded from our site etc. From this information we can identify which parts of the site are the most/least popular. This information does not enable us to personally identify any individual user.

For the purpose of our web survey, the information you provide will enable us to update and adjust the content of our site to better fulfil your needs.

Statement of Liability Waiver - Terms of Registration

The Conference organisers waive any liability for the acts of any outside entities related to this event. We have no responsibility in relation to the safety of any delegate to or from this Conference. We will accept no liability for delays or failure to perform resulting from anything beyond our control.

We reserve the right to cancel this Conference without penalty other than a refund of direct costs paid to us for services not provided. Everyone in attendance will be responsible for their own behaviour. The organisers will accept no responsibility for the behaviour of any attendee or outside entity during the event.

Attendees are asked to present a Photo ID at registration in order to ensure the identity of the registrant.

Record Retention

The following records will be retained for a minimum of 5 years:

• Programme outlines and printed materials
• Participation lists
• Dates and locations of events

Photographs

The organisers reserve the right to use any photos taken at the Conference. They may be used in conference materials, appearing either in printed documents or in related web sites. Your consent of this condition is appreciated and will assist in the promotion of future events. Your registration to this event signifies your acceptance of the terms and conditions of these policies.

Refund Policy

All cancellations will be charged a 25€ processing fee. With a WRITTEN notification postmarked, faxed or e-mailed by 30 September 2007, you will be issued a full refund less the processing fee. If notification is received after 30 September 2007, a 50% refund will be issued less the processing fee.

Conference Etiquette

In deference to all in attendance, please follow these guidelines:

With respect for the speakers and those in attendance, please silence any pagers and cell phones. We will frown upon any ring tones during the event. In addition, all conversations unrelated to the conference should wait until breaks or lunch to avoid any distractions for your fellow attendees.

Keep in mind, some in attendance may have certain sensitivities to chemicals or scented products. If you must wear or use these scented products, do so in moderation as a courtesy to everyone in attendance.

Content Review

All content will be reviewed by the conference chair prior to each event. This review will ensure all presentations are technically accurate.
